Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in medical communications, medical strategy, or a related field within the healthcare industry.
  • A strong understanding of medical science, clinical trial data, and regulatory guidelines relevant to the healthcare industry.
  • Proven ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, concise, and engaging content for diverse audiences, including HCPs and patients.
  • Experience in developing a variety of medical communication materials, such as slide decks, manuscripts, abstracts, and digital content.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, including experience with literature reviews, competitive intelligence gathering, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

  • Experience with KOL identification and engagement.
  • Familiarity with HCP and DTC marketing regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Support assets in development and in-market with medical strategy guidance through collaboration with medical and commercial clients.
  • Act as the medical strategy expert for new business and in medical/legal/regulatory reviews.
  • Oversee all deliverables from a medical strategy perspective to ensure alignment with medical and commercial goals.
  • Support crafting the overarching strategic approach to drive shifts in audience mindsets and shape the direction for disease awareness and education needs based on research founded in 'radical empathy'.
  • Collaborate closely with brand strategy to develop the strategy and the creative briefing documents for pitches and project briefs.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of medical literature, clinical trial data, and competitive intelligence to identify key insights and unmet needs within specific therapeutic areas.
  • Create content guided by desk research and IDIs with KOLs and HCPs, presents at pitch meetings and answers medical questions.
  • Translate complex scientific data and medical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging narratives that resonate with target audiences, including healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients.
  • Help guide development of the scientific narrative, promotional lexicon, message architecture and key message pillars in partnership with brand strategy and creative.
  • Ensure clarity and medical and regulatory accuracy of messages and brand strategy alignment of all content and copy.
  • Help develop research stimuli, including TPPs and product summaries, attends research and develops POV on key findings and impact on brand.
  • Provide input to workshop content in discussion with clients, and collaborates with other strategists and creative in the development, execution and follow-up related to the workshop.
  • Support development of patient and HCP journeys via primary and secondary research and help define key medical needs at each milestone as well as functional and emotional experiences across touchpoints.
  • Provide thought leadership within the disease category and competitive landscape to establish a strong strategic partnership with our clients.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging scientific/clinical data, and evolving regulatory guidelines to inform strategic recommendations.
