Position Overview: The Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist is responsible for credentialing & privileging both initial appointments and reappointments for physicians and allied health professionals. This position is also responsible for maintaining regulatory and accreditation compliance, providing administrative support, managing databases, and delivering excellent communication and customer service.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent written and verbal communication required.
Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards independently.
Must be able to function effectively under stressful conditions and meet deadlines on time.
Experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor's degree preferred in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
Desirable characteristics include at least one to three years of credentialing experience in a hospital setting.
Preferred experience with hospital credentialing software.
