A caregiver in this role works a hybrid schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m. (flexible start and end times)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and two years of experience in a hospital and/or managed care setting, working with multi-specialty groups, other integrated delivery systems or medical staff services and credentialing experience OR Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission, NCQA, CMS state license requirements and other regulatory and accrediting entities
  • Knowledge of current trends and practices in all aspects of credentialing and privileging

  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) Certification by the National Association Medical Staff Services

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate administrative support services for medical caregivers and officers, including processing applications and appointments, orienting new team members and communicating information between staff, departments and administration.
  • Coordinate billing, collection and deposit of caregiver dues, including maintaining related records.
  • Assists in the preparation of, organization of, minutes, and follow-up for the Medical Executive Committee and other medical staff committees.
  • Assists in planning, preparing and executing medical staff events and functions.
  • Handle the maintenance of privileging and other provider related data.
  • Utilize current trends and practices in all aspects of credentialing and privileging.
  • Ensure the needs of the medical staff are met through efficient systems and processes in compliance with applicable accreditation and government agency standards and requirements.
