Requirements

  • 2 years of recent relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to communicate negative information professionally to physicians.
  • Experience in meeting preparation and minute taking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records (EHR), particularly EPIC.
  • Ability to interpret various forms of data and instructions.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and administrative support to the department leader.
  • Process and credential provider applications for medical staff.
  • Attend designated medical staff department and committee meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and relevant standards.
  • Prepare for meetings, including taking minutes and organizing materials.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and staff regarding compliance and operational matters.
  • Maintain the privacy of patients' protected health information (PHI).
  • Build collaborative relationships with peers and other staff members.
