Requirements

  • Required - Associates and 5 years Administrative Support.
  • Or - 3 years Credentialing experience and a Highschool Diploma or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • This position will work out of Morton Plant Hospital AND North Bay Hospital.
  • Compiles, evaluates, and presents practitioner-specific data collected for review to assure and assess provider competency toward the best healthcare delivery.
  • This role requires a high level of organization, critical thinking, and time management skills.
  • Works independently and balances a minimum of 100 practitioner credentialing files as well as proficiency with computer and software skills, having enthusiasm to learn, and strong a work ethic.
  • Responsible for coordinating various functions within the Medical Staff Services department, for supporting activities outside of, but related to, the department, and for managing the daily activities of the Medical Staff Services office.
  • Oversees all aspects of the Allied Health or Medical Staff credentialing and reappointment processes.
  • Serves as a liaison to members of the medical, nursing and administrative staff.
  • Ensures the dissemination of medical staff information to appropriate staffs and is familiar with and properly handles files according to the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations.
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to reappointment processes, management of allied records, medical staff committee and department meeting support.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
