  • Greet and register new plasma donors into the donor management computer system
  • Conduct screening procedures including taking blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight, and arm checks
  • Perform finger sticks for hematocrit and total protein testing
  • Monitor the electronic donor questionnaire system
  • Determine donor eligibility through assessments including medical history interviews and physical examinations
  • Educate donors on testing, donation risks, and informed consent
  • Provide counseling regarding unacceptable test results
  • Initiate and assist in donor investigations regarding Post Donation Information
  • Evaluate and attend to donor adverse events during the donation process
  • Follow standard operating procedures for medical emergencies
  • Communicate with the Center Medical Director and management as necessary
  • Maintain familiarity with state and federal regulations and company procedures
  • Maintain open communication with management
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor
  • Accept performance feedback professionally
  • Regular attendance and punctuality to scheduled shifts and meetings
  • Other duties as assigned
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum one (1) year work experience preferred
  • Actively licensed or certified in the state where performing duties: EMT, LPN, LVN, RN, NP, PA
  • CPR certification required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret directions and instructions
  • Perform basic math calculations
  • Basic computer skills
  • Reasoning ability to identify, interpret and apply appropriate information
