About The Position

Join Team Bronson as a Medical Social Worker at Bronson Battle Creek. Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work.
• 1-2 years of professional experience in healthcare or mental health preferred.
• Licensed Master’s Social Work (LMSW) or Limited License Master’s Social Work (LLMSW) in good standing with the State of Michigan.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Knowledge of DSM V diagnostic criteria for mental health.
• Familiarity with community service organizations and resources.

Responsibilities

• Deliver social work services to various patient populations.
• Provide direct intervention in mental health, crisis situations, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care.
• Coordinate care for patients transitioning to psychiatric facilities or outpatient services.
• Conduct mental health assessments and facilitate psychiatric transfers.
• Document patient interactions and maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care discussions.
• Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with community agencies.
