To provide assistance in navigating trauma patients through their recovery journey, providing them emotional support and practical resources to heal and rebuild their lives. Assist Trauma Program Manager in Performance Improvement and program development tasks for social services. To provide emotional support, crisis intervention and counseling; information and referral; referrals for financial assistance and supportive services to patients and families with problems that are related to hospitalization, illness, disability or trauma in all clinical care areas. To complete psychosocial assessments and work as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Complete necessary documentation and maintain clinical record for all social service consults during his/her length of stay.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work
  • LCSW state license required within 1 year of hire and maintained current once state license acquired.
  • Completion of criteria to provide supervision to ASW or MFTI, LPCCI per State Regulatory Board, if the LCSW is required to supervise.
  • Behavioral Violence Prevention Training within 3 months of hires and maintain current.
  • Minimum of one (1) year hospital or Outpatient experience or emphasis in mental health care
  • Experience in working with a diverse population with a wide range of problems (i.e., death and dying, maternal and childcare, substance abuse, disability, chronic illness, etc.).
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Certified as Trauma Professional (CTP) current or within 1 year of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
