About The Position
The Medical Social Worker IP/ED Float Position at Bronson Battle Creek is responsible for delivering social work services across various medical units, including ICU, NVU, GMU, Oncology, Observation, and the Emergency Department. This role involves working variable shifts, including days, afternoons, weekends, and holidays, with specific hours ranging from 0700-1930, 1200-0030, 1900-0730, and 0800-1630. The position requires covering multiple units and responding to acute care call downs, prioritizing workload demands effectively. The social worker will provide direct intervention for patients and families dealing with mental health issues, crisis situations, and various forms of abuse, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and timely discharge planning.
