The Medical Simulation Technician’s primary role is the implementation and delivery of healthcare simulation activities utilizing both advanced robotic simulators and highly trained standardized patient actors through the application of simulation technologies such as computers, audiovisual equipment, or other networking technologies. They will proactively set up, help facilitate, and break down educational settings for scenarios involving anatomy and physiology, adult health, maternal and newborn care, pediatrics, mental health, or interprofessional education learning simulations and experiential activities in support of CHHS faculty or external partners. The Medical Simulation Technician is expected to be technologically fluent in the set-up, operation, and troubleshooting of the Sim Center’s advanced robotic manikins, audiovisual and XR technologies (e.g., Anatomage Tables), and medical equipment and devices used in simulations. In collaboration with faculty, sim staff, and standardized patients (SPs), the technician ensures simulations run smoothly and meet learning objectives.
