Position Overview As a Medical Services Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in our Health Services Office supporting students, collaborating with nursing staff and clinicians, and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of medical services. Requirements

  • 21 years old or older
  • Valid driver’s license (must meet safe‑driver guidelines)
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Associate/bachelor’s degree or 60+ college credits OR High school diploma/GED and one of the following:
  • 2 years full‑time experience working with children
  • Combination of education + experience totaling 2 years
  • 7 years of parenting experience
  • Meets NH Child Care Licensing Regulation He‑C 4001.19

Nice To Haves

  • LNA or Certified Medical Aide preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build positive, respectful relationships with students
  • Model appropriate behavior and communication
  • Support students in building coping and social skills
  • Provide redirection and crisis management when needed
  • Administer student medication as needed
  • Review, prepare, and distribute prescriptions under RN direction
  • Stock, organize, and distribute weekly medications to annexes
  • Prepare medications for transport; audit returned documentation
  • Upload and manage medical paperwork and visit records
  • Assist with medication destruction procedures
  • Maintain secure handling of medications, chemicals, and confidential documents
  • Complete accurate documentation (MARs, incident reports, logs, etc.)
  • Communicate professionally with all departments
  • Assist with CPR, First Aid, and other health‑related trainings
  • Provide coverage for the Health Services Manager
  • Report equipment issues and discontinue use until repaired
  • Maintain required certifications (CPI, CPR, First Aid)
  • Uphold strict confidentiality standards
