About The Position

Under the direction of the Clinic Director and Manager, coordinates, negotiates, procures and manages the quality review of the completion of patient charts to facilitate the achievement of positive clinical and financial outcomes. Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary provider's internal and external clients for the organization to coordinate referrals, follow up appointments and diagnostic studies, scanning of patient medical records, and release of drug screen results. Has only clerical participation in the performance improvement initiatives related to the management of patient care, not clinical participation. Works with physicians to ensure accurate and thorough documentation that will result in correct and complete charting to improve the quality of care and reimbursement. Assists Public Relations and RMC Wellness Fairs with business/industry as workload allows.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of routine office equipment, calculator, and personal computer including word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of medical terminology and medical science.

Nice To Haves

  • Occupational Health experience preferred.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Chart review experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Registers patients and schedules appointments.
  • Maintains calendar and assists patients, clients, caregivers, and visitors.
  • Performs medical record management functions.
  • Answers telephone and routes calls appropriately.
  • Distributes schedule and correspondence at the end of the day.
  • Manages payments for services and completes daily income logs.
  • Assists with orders and maintains department supplies and equipment.
