About The Position

The scribe performs medical record documentation and clerical duties to increase provider effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity for improved patient flow and satisfaction. To be considered, your availability must allow for you to work two or more of the following shift needs. You must be able to work the full duration of the shift time needed for each shift need listed below. (If your schedule does not allow for you to fulfill the shift needs, please reapply at a later time once your schedule is more open). Shift Needs: North Willis Knighton Medical Center Main: 2600 Greenwood Rd Shreveport, LA 71103 Shift 1: Part Time: 6:00am-8:00pm (you will not work the entire 6am-8pm, this time includes 2 different shift times, 6a-4pm and 10am-8pm. You must be available for both shift times, Monday-Sunday. Must be able to cover 3 shift per week.) Shift 2: Part Time: 4:00 pm-6:00am- (you will not work the entire 4pm-6am, this time includes 2 different shift times, 4pm-2pm and 8pm-6am. You must be available for both shift times, Monday-Sunday. Must be able to cover 3 shift per week.) Willis Knighton Pierremont Health Center: 8001 Youree Drive Shreveport, LA 71115 Shift 1: Part Time: 7:00am-10:00pm (you will not work the entire 7am-10pm, this time includes 3 different shift times, 7am-5pm, 12pm-10pm and on Mondays Only 11am-9pm. You must be available for all shift times Monday-Sunday. Must be able to cover 3 shifts per week) Shift 2: Part Time: 3:00pm-3:00am (you will not work the entire 3pm-3am, this time includes 2 different shift times, 3pm-1am and 9pm-3am. You must be available for both shift times, Monday-Sunday. Must be able to cover 3 shift per week) Willis Knighton South & The Center For Women's Health: 2510 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop Shreveport, LA 71118 Shift 1: Part Time: 7:00am-11:00pm (you will not work the entire 7am-11pm, this time includes 2 different shift times, 7am-6pm and 12pm-11pm. You must be available for all shift times Monday-Sunday. Must be able to cover 3 shifts per week) Shift 2: Part Time: 8:00pm-7:00am Monday-Sunday. Must be able to cover 3 shift per week Willis Knighton Bossier Health Center: 2400 Hospital Drive Bossier City, LA 71111 Shift 1: Part Time: 6:00am-7:00pm. (you will not work the entire 6am-7pm, this includes 2 different shift times, 6am-4pm and 9am-7pm, will need to be available for both, Monday-Sunday. Must be able to cover 3 shifts per week.) Shift 2: Part Time: 10:00am-10:00pm (you will not work the entire 10am-10pm, this includes 2 different shift times, 10am-8pm and 12pm-10pm, will need to be available for both, Monday-Sunday. Must be able to cover 3 shifts per week.) Shift 3: Part Time: 4:00pm-6:00am (you will not work the entire 4pm-6am, this includes 2 different shift times, 4pm-2pm and 8pm-6am, will need to be available for both, Monday-Sunday. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the US
Successful completion of a background check and drug screen
Ability to obtain proof of vaccinations as required by specific site
Typing speed 45+ WPM
Ability to fluently read, write, and understand English
Part-timeAvailable to work two shifts per week (16-24 hours per week) for a minimum of 6 consecutive months
Full-timeAvailable to work three shifts per week (32+ hours per week) for a minimum of 12 consecutive months
Ability to work shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours
Ability to understand HIPAA regulations and appropriately maintain confidential patient and client information

Responsibilities

Preparing and assembling medical record documentation/charts to support healthcare providers
Entering the patient room with the physician during patient visit to capture and transcribe medical record documentation utilizing electronic medical record applications
Thoroughly updating all components of the patient's medical record at the direction of the physician
At the direction of the physician, updates all components of the patient's medical record including subjective and objective information, physical exam, and any other pertinent clinical information
Preparing and sending all documentation to physician for review and approval via authentication of detailed data entry and facility-specific procedures
Collaborating with healthcare staff to efficiently monitor basic lab results and screening procedures
Monitor duration of lab test and follow up as necessary
Ensure accurate documentation in patient record
Supporting compliance with hospital and ProScribe policies
Understand and maintain HIPAA regulations
Understand and maintain Joint Commission standards
Understand applicable policies for assigned site
Understand ProScribe policies as related to specific role
Demonstrating professionalism through adherence to ProScribe’s attendance policies at assigned facility
Attendance responsibilities may vary based on provider preferences and EMR specifics
Performing other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned
