About The Position
The Medical Scribe position at VillageMD is a vital role within our physician-led, patient-centric network. The Scribe Tech is responsible for capturing accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in a timely manner. This role requires a commitment to providing unparalleled customer service to our patients while adhering to established protocols and work processes. The Scribe will assist physicians with basic patient care and medical procedures, ensuring that the patient experience is seamless and efficient. In addition to documentation, the Scribe will assist site managers in directing patient flow, managing inventory, and following up on lab results. Compliance with Department of Health (DOH) regulations is critical, and the Scribe will be responsible for ensuring that the site lab and exam rooms meet these standards. The role demands the ability to manage a high volume of patients, with expectations of handling a minimum of two patients per hour on average, and up to four patients per hour during peak times. The Scribe will also facilitate necessary diagnostic tests and referrals to medical specialists, communicate with patients, pharmacies, and physicians under guidance, and maintain a clean and professional working environment. This position requires a flexible schedule, including the ability to work on weekends, and a passion for providing compassionate care in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
