There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.
As a Donor Center Technician at CSL Plasma, you will play a crucial role in the plasma collection process by greeting donors and conducting a series of registration procedures to verify their suitability for the plasma pheresis process. Your responsibilities will include assisting qualified donors in completing the screening process in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This involves assessing self-administered health histories, answering basic medical questions related to the donation process, and referring donors to medical staff when necessary. You will also perform health screening procedures such as measuring blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature, as well as conducting finger sticks to obtain samples for hematocrit and total protein level assessments. Upon completion of the necessary training, you may also educate new donors about the therapeutic products made from donated plasma. This includes explaining the screening process, health screening tests, the appointment system, donation fees, center policies, proper nutrition, and any other relevant information. It is essential to ensure that all donor questions are answered in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. You may also be involved in registering applicants and transferring donors based on operational needs and your training. In addition to these responsibilities, you will maintain alertness to any reactions donors may have during or after the pheresis process and notify the appropriate staff. You will be responsible for accurately recording donor data in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in the SOPs. Understanding the policies and procedures associated with hyper immune programs at the center may also be required. Maintaining a clean and efficient work environment, ensuring sufficient operating supplies, and following all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies are also part of your duties. You will promote safety in all actions and maintain confidentiality regarding all personnel, donor, and center information. Cross-training in other areas may be necessary to meet business needs, and bilingual skills may be required at the organization's discretion.
