About The Position

As a Plasma Center Technician / Entry Level Phlebotomist at BioLife, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare industry, contributing to life-saving work that directly impacts the lives of patients with rare diseases. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to make a difference and are ready to embark on a rewarding career path. You will receive comprehensive on-the-job training, allowing you to develop the necessary skills to excel in this role. Your daily responsibilities will revolve around providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the safety of donors, and maintaining high-quality standards in plasma collection. In this part-time position, you will work approximately 20 hours per week, engaging with donors and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the donation process. You will be responsible for screening new and repeat donors, taking and recording vital signs, and managing donor medical history records. Your attention to detail will be essential as you prepare donor charts and maintain accurate records using our Donor Information System. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to identify operational improvements and contribute to a supportive team environment, working closely with management to enhance center processes. The role also involves learning to operate and maintain state-of-the-art plasmapheresis machines, ensuring that all procedures are conducted safely and efficiently. Dependability is key, as you will be expected to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate donor availability.
