About The Position

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a field-based scientific expert supporting clinical engagement and education on innovative diagnostic technologies used to evaluate liver disease and metabolic disorders. This role will act as a key liaison between the organization and healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and key opinion leaders (KOLs), providing high-level scientific exchange and supporting clinical initiatives across the United States.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in life sciences required (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a Medical Science Liaison or related field-based medical role within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry.
  • Strong knowledge of hepatology, gastroenterology, liver disease, or metabolic disorders preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with key opinion leaders and delivering high-quality scientific exchange.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% within the assigned territory and occasionally internationally (1–2 trips annually).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary scientific contact for external experts, clinicians, and healthcare organizations regarding the company’s non-invasive diagnostic technology and its clinical applications in the U.S.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and stakeholders in hepatology, gastroenterology, and metabolic disease.
  • Provide scientific and clinical support to commercial and marketing teams while maintaining medical independence and compliance with medical governance standards.
  • Deliver medical education, clinical presentations, and training to healthcare professionals, institutions, and conference audiences.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to identify and support clinical research initiatives, investigator-initiated trials (IITs), and real-world evidence projects.
  • Monitor and analyze emerging clinical data, guidelines, and publications related to liver disease, fibrosis, MASLD, and metabolic disorders.
  • Contribute to the development and review of medical materials, scientific communications, and educational resources.
  • Participate in advisory boards, medical congresses, and symposia as a scientific representative.
  • Ensure all interactions with healthcare professionals comply with regulatory, ethical, and company standards.
