About The Position

Medical Science Liaison (MSL, US Remote) Primary Focus: Interventional Technologies (IVT) Position Summary The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as the medical and scientific expert for Haemonetics’ Interventional Technologies (IVT) portfolio including Vascular Closure Devices & Technology for specialized interventional cardiology (Structural Heart, Coronary) & and electrophysiology procedures, with secondary support for the Blood Management business when needed. The MSL leads high-value scientific exchange with key opinion leaders (KOLs), provides non-promotional education, and delivers actionable medical insights to support clinical research, product development, and Medical Affairs strategy.

Requirements

  • Required Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting (e.g., RN, PA, technologist, allied health professional).
  • Industry experience
  • Previous vascular closure technique and product experience in interventional cardiology.
  • Strong scientific communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to travel 30–40%, primarily within the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Vascular closure technique and product experience in interventional cardiology is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced degree in healthcare or scientific discipline.
  • Solid experience in a big corporation MedTech with Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, or Scientific Affairs roles

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary scientific and medical expert for the IVT product portfolio, supporting Blood Management business as needed.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain strategic relationships with KOLs in priority IVT markets; leverage insights to inform clinical, research, and portfolio strategies.
  • Deliver non-promotional scientific education on IVT products, clinical evidence, and evolving standards of care.
  • Provide medical input to clinical development activities, including study design considerations, site and investigator identification, and publication strategy.
  • Support Haemonetics-sponsored research and Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs).
  • Deliver scientific training to internal teams and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and contracted partners.
  • Represent Medical Affairs at scientific meetings, medical congresses, and educational forums.
  • Maintain current knowledge of clinical literature, competitive landscape, and payer considerations relevant to IVT.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and R&D to execute regional and global Medical Affairs initiatives.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Haemonetics policies and applicable regulatory and compliance requirements; appropriately respond to unsolicited medical information requests.
