About The Position

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-based scientific and clinical expert at Blueprint Medicines, responsible for supporting the medical objectives of the company's development programs. The MSL engages with healthcare providers to foster peer-to-peer relationships, facilitating high-quality scientific exchanges about the precision medicine portfolio. This role involves gathering insights on treatment landscapes and emerging clinical data while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The MSL collaborates with various internal teams and reports to the Regional Director of MSLs.

Requirements

  • Advanced Clinical/Science degree or professional credentials required (MD/DO, PhD, PharmD, NP, PA).
  • 3+ years of experience preferred in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry in Medical Affairs.
  • Entry level MSL candidates with strong clinical backgrounds in rare disease, hematology, and/or allergy will also be considered.

  • Strong analytical skills for understanding and interpreting scientific and clinical research.
  • Hematology/Oncology, Allergy or Rare Disease experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated self-starter and team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify key opinion leaders and cultivate a network of experts in disease areas of focus.
  • Engage in meaningful, peer-to-peer scientific exchange with the rare disease community.
  • Provide internal stakeholders with feedback and insights from interactions with healthcare providers (HCPs).
  • Deliver medical/scientific presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with company-sponsored clinical trials and facilitate investigator-initiated trials (ISTs).
  • Lead planning and execution of regional advisory boards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners on internal projects and external initiatives.
  • Provide educational meeting support at scientific congresses.
  • Support training of cross-functional teams.
  • Adhere to corporate and healthcare compliance guidance in all activities.
