About The Position

The primary function of the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Research & Development (R&D) at Abbott is to serve as the scientific subject matter expert in pediatric nutrition. This role involves presenting live (both virtual and in-person) nutrition science education programs to internal and external stakeholders. The MSL is expected to build and manage relationships with external key opinion leaders (KOLs) aligned with business needs and to manage the KOL engagement plan effectively. This position plays a crucial role in preparing the marketplace in new areas of interest, which includes creating awareness and building relationships for Abbott within the medical community. In addition to these responsibilities, the MSL will serve as a scientific resource to commercial partners, supporting activities such as medical/nutrition congress staffing, advisory boards, and training initiatives. The role also requires the MSL to input and maintain internal reports related to their activities and to collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute plans that support shared business objectives. Furthermore, the MSL will provide medical and scientific resources to healthcare providers by answering clinical questions and addressing other clinically related medical information issues. Abbott is committed to providing innovative, high-quality products that create sustainable value, deliver superior user experiences, and enhance health outcomes at all stages of life. The MSL will be integral to achieving these goals by leveraging their expertise in pediatric nutrition and engaging with various stakeholders to promote Abbott's mission.
