About The Position

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) position at Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc. is a senior-level role focused on integrating scientific expertise with brand strategies to support the company's marketed and emerging product portfolio, particularly in urology and women's health. The MSL will build relationships with key opinion leaders and clinicians, participate in scientific exchanges, and assist in the management of clinical trials and investigator-sponsored studies. Requirements

• 5-10 years of relevant scientific or clinical experience in Urology/Women's Health.
• Minimum 0 - 3 years of relevant experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
• 1-3 years of MSL experience in Urology/Women's Health preferred.
• Advanced degree in medical science (MD, PharmD, or PhD) is strongly preferred.
• Candidates without an advanced degree must have at least 5 years of industry MSL experience and 6-10 years of overall related experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and build relationships with key opinion leaders in urology and women's health.
• Participate in the collection and exchange of scientific information relevant to the company's portfolio.
• Assist in managing relationships between key opinion leaders and corporate product teams.
• Accumulate competitive information to support clinical and marketing teams.
• Coordinate and monitor investigator-sponsored studies to support clinical strategies.
• Develop and manage timelines for publication plans of studies.
• Engage potential investigators for corporate trials and support ongoing communication with them.
• Develop advocates as speakers for the company's products.
• Assist in the development of advisory boards and medical education programs.
• Provide clinical resources for sales training and marketing efforts.
• Represent the company at relevant meetings and conferences.
• Maintain expertise in urology and women's health through literature review and attendance at scientific meetings.
• Lead assigned projects within the MSL organization.
