About The Position

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) position at Sumitomo Pharma is a dynamic role focused on integrating scientific expertise with brand strategies to support the company's marketed and emerging product portfolio, particularly in urology and women's health. The MSL will build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and regional clinicians, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to enhance the company's presence in the market.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of relevant scientific or clinical experience in Urology/Women's Health.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
• 1-3 years of MSL experience in Urology/Women's Health preferred.
• Advanced degree in medical science (MD, PharmD, or PhD) is strongly preferred; candidates without an advanced degree must have at least 5 years of industry MSL experience and 6-10 years of overall related experience.

Nice To Haves

• Patient care clinical experience or strong scientific research experience in the therapeutic area (Urology and Women's Health) preferred.
• Strong project leadership and management history required.

Responsibilities

• Identify key national and regional thought leaders in urology and women's health and maintain advocacy with them.
• Participate in the collection and exchange of scientific/technical information relevant to the company's market and development portfolio.
• Manage relationships between key opinion leaders and corporate product teams, providing education on research and development projects.
• Accumulate competitive information to support clinical and marketing teams in drug/brand development.
• Coordinate and monitor investigator-sponsored studies to support the clinical and scientific strategy of the company's products.
• Help develop and manage timelines for publication plans of investigator-sponsored studies.
• Assist in identifying and engaging potential investigators for corporate trials.
• Support the clinical trials team in communication with investigators on corporate trials.
• Develop key advocates as speakers to support the company's products and strategies.
• Assist in the development and participation in advisory boards and medical education programs.
• Contribute scientific expertise to commercial educational activities.
• Provide clinical resources for sales training and marketing efforts.
• Represent the company at urology and women's health meetings and conferences.
• Maintain clinical and technical expertise in urology and women's health through literature review and attendance at scientific meetings.
• Lead assigned projects within the MSL organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
