About The Position

FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers is hiring a Medical Scheduler to join our Headquarters healthcare call center in Downtown Sarasota. This is a phone-based, centralized scheduling role in a small call center supporting multiple clinic locations — not a front desk or in-clinic position.

This role is ideal for candidates with medical scheduling, healthcare call center, or patient services experience who are comfortable handling high call volume and working in a structured office environment.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in medical scheduling, healthcare call center, or patient services
• Strong phone skills and clear verbal communication
• Experience working in a fast-paced, call-driven environment
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized
• Reliable, team-oriented, and patient-focused

Responsibilities

• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using an EMR system
• Handle high-volume inbound and outbound calls from patients and insurance providers
• Provide centralized scheduling support for multiple locations
• Enter and maintain accurate patient demographics, insurance, and appointment data
• Explain services, appointment expectations, and next steps clearly over the phone
• Deliver professional, empathetic customer service
