About The Position

Job Summary The Medical Records Coordinator maintains records of patients care by compiling, reviewing and completing requests for documentation of patient conditions, treatment plans and health outcomes. Duties and Responsibilities · Secures patient information and maintain patient confidentiality by safeguarding all PHI. · Maintains medical records operations by following policies and procedures. · Initiates medical records within EMR System. · Ensures medical records availability by routing records to admissions/emergency departments, physicians and other authorized staff; maintains chart location systems. · Completes medical record by reviewing information, notifying health care providers of record deficiencies, tracks outstanding records. · Resolves medical record discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. · Provides medical record information by answering questions and requests of patients, hospital staff, law firms, insurance companies, and government agencies. · Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential; follows release-of-information protocols. · Practices teamwork by helping others willingly and communicating in a professional manner · Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements. · Has regular and predictable attendance · Adheres to Advanced Pain Care’s Policies and procedures. · Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications Education: Requires a high school diploma or GED Experience: One or more years’ experience preferred, knowledge of Legal Documents is preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: · Clear and precise communication · Ability to pay close attention to detail · Effectively manages day by organizing and prioritizing · Knowledge of EMR systems and strong computer skills · Protects patient information and maintains confidentiality · Knowledge of general medical terminology · Organizational skills and ability to identify, analyze and solve problems · Works well independently as well as with a team Working Conditions Remote Position Physical Conditions: · Must be able to work as scheduled – typically from 8:00 – 5:00 M-F · Must be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time · Must be able to bend, stoop and stretch · Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment, etc. Salary Description $18-$22/hour Salary Description $18-22/ hour

Requirements
