About The Position

The Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist supports the HIM department by ensuring the accurate, secure, and timely processing of medical records. This role is responsible for organizing, analyzing, maintaining, and retrieving patient health information in compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards. The HIM Specialist interacts with patients, providers, and hospital staff to process requests for information, maintain confidentiality, and ensure records are complete and audit ready. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.
