The Medical Records Scanner/Indexer position is crucial to ensuring an accurate and complete medical record by scanning and indexing protected health information into the patient's record. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of patient records. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably some previous experience in medical records. Knowledge of medical record documentation and proficiency in computer applications are essential. The role involves performing repetitive procedures, operating office equipment, and maintaining courteous and professional telephone etiquette. Additionally, the ability to follow oral and written instructions is critical for success in this position. As part of the hiring process, candidates should be aware that all job offers are contingent upon passing a pre-employment screening, which includes a criminal background check, drug screening, and health and immunizations screening.
