About The Position

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Medical Records Retrieval Representative (Risk Adjustment Representative 2) schedules appointments with provider offices, travels to provider offices within the region, and scans medical records into a secure system. The records are reviewed by Humana's Coding staff. Travels up to 75% of the time consisting of driving to locations in and around assigned territories and to locations that require overnight travel for up to a week at a time. Use a laptop computer, flash drive, and a portable scanner to retrieve medical records which will be uploaded into a database. Schedule appointments and visits to physician offices in a timely, efficient manner to meet all deadlines. Use your skills to make an impact

Requirements

  • 1 or more years’ experience working in an administrative, support, clerical, or customer service capacity
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Prior experience in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Prior experience working with computers, or a demonstrated technical aptitude and an ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Candidates must live in Lubbock, TX area
  • This role is part of Humana's driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and are expected to maintain personal vehicle liability insurance.
  • Individual must carry vehicle insurance in accordance with their residing state minimum required limits, or $25,000 bodily injury per person/$25,000 bodily injury per event /$10,000 for property damage or whichever is higher.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge and experience in health care environment/managed care
  • Knowledge of ICD-9/10 codes
