This position is responsible for maintaining patient records, responds to all requests for medical records and is responsible for performing specialized duties such as responding to subpoenas for records, team lead or technical lead. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. • Team or technical lead of the Medical Records department. • Receive and process subpoenas that are requesting copies of patient records. • Assembles patient’s radiology reports and records for delivery. • Check to make sure that the documents are complete and correctly attached and sent to the proper referring or ordering physician. • Prepares documents for patient pick-up at our locations or for delivery to referring physician offices. • Seeks resolution for problems such as searching for missing x-rays/images, CDs and files. • Takes incoming calls and requests via phone for processing. • Function in a team environment and assist other team members when needed. • All other duties as assigned.
