About The Position

Medical Records Manager who has experience in maintaining patient data and HIPAA rules and regulations along with state and federal requirements. Candidates should have experience and or be familiar with fulfilling various types of Medical Records Requests such as but not limited to physician to physician, insurance audits, life insurance, legal and subpoenas. Supervise the employees within the medical records department and ensuring that information contained in each record is complete, accurate, and secure. Manage and secure all written and electronic data within a facility's medical records department.

Requirements

  • HIPAA trained and versed in rules and regulations
  • General Computer knowledge including applications such as word, excel and adobe products
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Answering phones, taking messages, and returning patient calls
  • Strong organization skills
  • Medical terminology familiarization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong Data entry with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to identify, organize and draft daily protocols and workflow procedure for department structure.
  • Leadership skills, training, or strong capabilities
