About The Position
The Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Clinical Review is looking for a motivated Medical Records Examiner. This position utilizes nursing experience to evaluate clinical information and ensure eligible medical assistance recipients receive appropriate urgent and acute medical care. The role involves performing admissions reviews for medical assistance recipients, evaluating the admissions process to hospitals, determining medical necessity of services, and communicating effectively with providers. Additionally, the Medical Records Examiner will assist with training new staff members and explain regulations and procedures to providers.
