About The Position

Yucaipa Hills Post Acute is hiring a full-time medical records coordinator for its 82-bed skilled nursing facility. We're looking for a motivated and knowledgeable person who can ensure our medical records are fully compliant while supporting our staff, residents, and clinical consultants on a daily basis. We're looking for someone that enjoys working in long-term care and is excited to make a difference in the lives of the residents we care for.

Requirements

  • Medical Records experience.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Flexibility and ability to work with other personnel.
  • Understanding of medical terminology.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure medical records are properly completed, assembled, coded, signed, and indexed.
  • Input resident information into the computer and retrieve resident information as appropriate or as instructed.
  • Audit and report daily by reviewing electronic health records documentation for accuracy and completion.
  • Maintain medical health records in a manner that is consistent with administrative, legal and regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Complete medical record and documentation competencies as directed.
  • Participate in daily and weekly clinical meetings.
  • Work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays and on other shifts/positions as necessary.
