USPI South Plains Endoscopy Center is seeking a motivated Medical Records Clerk to join their team. The center has 1 OR room and 3 Treatment rooms, performing outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology. The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for assembling and maintaining patient’s health information in medical records and charts. This includes ensuring all paper and electronic records are complete, properly identified, and signed. The role also involves copying, retrieving, and tracking medical records requests, assembling charts for peer reviews, and conducting daily chart audits. Additionally, the clerk is responsible for tracking dictations to assure all cases are dictated and following up with physicians regarding missing dictation of cases. The position requires weekdays only, with no holidays, weekends, or call, though some early mornings and later evenings may be required, and the schedule is subject to change based on the surgical schedule and daily flow.
