About The Position

SafeGuard Services (SGS), a subsidiary of Peraton, performs data analysis, investigation, and medical review to detect, prevent, deter, reduce, and make referrals to recover fraud, waste, and abuse. We are looking to add a Medical Records Support Clerk to our SGS team of talented professionals What You’ll do: This position is to provide clerical support to medical review and investigator teams. Activities include logging cases, scanning, downloading files, filing and general clerical support. The Medical Records Support Clerk is responsible for handling incoming records for Medicare and Medicaid. Be part of a team and willing to learn new tasks and duties Prioritize work and manage multiple tasks at a time successfully. Position will be onsite at Miramar, FL

Requirements

0 years with BS/BA; 2 years with AS/AA; 4 years with HS Diploma/equivalent
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong PC knowledge and skills including Microsoft programs and Adobe products.
Ability to organize, sort, and file documents
U.S. Citizenship required

Nice To Haves

Experience with medical terminology and records handling preferred.
Ability to enter work into an automated log on an accurate and timely basis
Ability to sort and scan medical records
Ability to accurately handle incoming and outgoing mail
Ability to perform basic research using various systems
