About The Position

Ennoble Care is a mobile primary care, palliative care, and hospice service provider with patients in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, DC, Virginia, Oklahoma, Kansas, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. Their clinicians provide a continuum of care for those with chronic conditions and limited mobility, offering programs such as remote patient monitoring, behavioral health management, and chronic care management. Ennoble Care is looking for an organized, Full-time Medical Records Clerk to join their office team in Hackettstown, NJ. This role involves supervising clerical staff, maintaining patient medical records in locked cabinets to ensure confidentiality, setting up new patient clinical records, and filing documentation. The clerk will also monitor the check-in and check-out of patient charts, assist staff in locating documentation, log physician and mail orders, prepare paperwork for and send updates following IDG meetings, and develop systems for timely retrieval of documentation. Additionally, the position includes breaking down and storing discharged patient records and assisting with new employee orientation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Should be a skilled organizer who is able to manage office files, logbooks and staff schedules.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (particularly savvy with Excel).
  • Detail oriented.
  • Must possess light secretarial skills and have polite telephone manners.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a record manager preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Medical Records department clerical staff.
  • Maintain medical records in locked cabinets to assure confidentiality of patient information.
  • Set up new patient clinical records.
  • File documentation in patient charts in chronological order in appropriate locations.
  • Monitor check-in and check-out of patient charts by office and field staff.
  • Assist staff in locating charts and documentation.
  • Log in and out physician orders and mail orders to the appropriate physicians.
  • Prepare paperwork for IDG meetings.
  • Send attending physicians IDG updates following IDG meetings.
  • Develop and implement systems to ensure organization and timely retrieval of documentation.
  • Break down discharged patients' records.
  • Maintain and store all discharged patient charts.
  • Assist with the orientation of new employees as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
