The Medical Records Clerk is accountable for responding to medical records requests from patients, other providers, and insurance companies, following established guidelines and legal requirements. Facilitates and assists with records requests via telephone, in person, and by fax. Supports process for patient forms requests (ie disability, FMLA). In addition, the position is responsible for filing into patient’s EHR chart, maintaining the accuracy and integrity of patient’s records. Identifies a wide variety of medical reports and documents, which must be electronically converted and imported to specified e-files and drives. This is a full-time position, Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm in our Tradition office.
