About The Position

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in preparing reports on healthcare or patient data.
• Experience providing recommendations for HIPAA policies or procedures.
• Experience assisting patients with the complaint process.

Responsibilities

• Develop local policies and procedures as necessary for implementation of DOD and agency HIPAA Privacy requirements.
• Follow up on violations and corrective actions as required.
• Responsible for resolving patient concerns by listening to patients and their families.
• Evaluate and re-design patient concern processes and recommends changes.
• Maintain the sequestered records program in accordance with agency regulations.
