About The Position

The Patient Service Associate is responsible for all front desk operations under the direction of the Practice Manager/Director/Assistant Director which include, but we are not limited to scheduling patients, answering phones, scanning medical records, triage patient, phone calls for severity/importance collection of insurance information and verification or benefits, charge entry and payment posting. This position is located in Columbia, at our office off of Brokenland Parkway.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of one year experience as a Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic preferred
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Meditech, Epic, Performance Manager/NetLearning
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner
  • Ability to work independently and make independent decisions
  • Effective communication skills to deal tactfully with personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public
  • Flexibility and personal integrity
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification preferred
