About The Position

Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood, MI is seeking a MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST to join our team! Duties Include: Provides leadership and direction to the reception team. Responsible to complete staff schedule and time keeping in a timely fashion. Adjusts staffing appropriately based on clinic needs, volumes and staff requests. Provides instruction to staff regarding software changes, operational processes and EMR usage. Assists in providing direction, coaching and delegation of tasks to patient access team staff. Assesses performance of other receptionists, assesses quality of service, and plans performance improvement activities. Greets, registers and assists patients in a professional manner. Efficiently schedules patient appointments according to established parameters as defined by office policy and procedure. Obtains and maintains complete and accurate registration records. Answers all phone calls, providing routine information to callers and transfers calls to appropriate individual in a courteous and professional manner.
