About The Position

Requirements
- High School graduate or GED required
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Working knowledge of MicroSoft Word and Excel
- Working knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR)
- Medical office: 1 year
- Appointment scheduling: 1 year
- Insurance verification: 1 year
- Phone etiquette: 1 year
Nice To Haves
- At least two (2) years of work experience as a Receptionist in a health care service delivery setting
- Experience in Medical terminology
Responsibilities
- Offering pertinent information
- Directing callers to appropriate Health Center staff
- Taking messages when appropriate
- Schedules appointments, verifies registration information and patient demographics
- Collects patient co-pays or other payments
- Inspects reception room for neatness
