About The Position

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Receptionist manages front desk operations and provides administrative support within a physician practice or center. You will ensure a welcoming experience for all patients and visitors and supports the medical team with routine administrative tasks under close guidance and established guidelines. You will report to the Center Administrator. Use your skills to make an impact

Requirements

  • 1 year or more of healthcare experience
  • Candidates with strong customer service backgrounds (such as retail, hospitality, or call centers) will also be considered
  • Commitment to enhancing patient experience and care
  • Collaborative and positive team player.
  • Efficient multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience with value-based care models
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with EMR systems
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in person and by phone
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments, coordinating with medical staff
  • Maintain and update patient records in EMR and CRM systems
  • Process billing, update patient accounts, and collect copayments
  • Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and provide general information
  • Keep the reception area clean, organized, and well-stocked
  • Assist with office tasks such as ordering supplies, managing inventory, and arranging courier services
  • Make decisions within defined parameters for work expectations, quality standards, and timing Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close supervision and/or within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.
