Our experienced and friendly Medical Receptionist will greet and schedule patients and visitors, call patients to remind them of appointments, answering and routing calls, making transactions, and keeping paperwork organized. The Receptionist mainly uses phones and computers to communicate with patients and staff, so they must have basic knowledge of computers. Must interact frequently with patients, medical professionals, and supervisors, and must have excellent communication skills and have a personable demeanor. LOCATION: This is a float position with the primary role in Katy, but will float between Katy, Sugar Land and Medical Center clinics. Essential Responsibilities: Answer phones and direct calls or assist patients as appropriate, managing the continuous flow of information between the lab, on-site physician, and staff while adhering to standards of patient care and patient privacy. Schedule and confirm patient appointments, check-ups, and physician referrals. Answer telephones and direct calls to the appropriate staff in a busy office environment. Greet visitors, ascertain the purpose of their visit, and direct them to the appropriate staff. Compile and maintain medical charts, reports, and correspondence. Interview patients to complete insurance and privacy forms. Perform other duties, special projects, and tasks as assigned. HOURS: 7:45am – 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
