Connecting. Growing together. ProHealth Physicians has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient-focused and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our growing Family Medicine team. The position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday, 7:00AM-6:30PM This position will support the care team and its patients by greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, answering telephone inquiries, collecting payments and maintaining demographic information. Additionally, they will routinely use the electronic health record (EHR) according to ProHealth policies and standard workflows. May be asked to float to local practices in the region for coverage depending on business need. Schedule: Full time (40 hours) Monday-Friday. Will be required to work at 8 hour shift between 7:00AM-6:30PM. Will be expected to close 1 night per week. May have to work rotational Saturdays 1x per quarter 8:30-1:30PM Location: 1251 Farmington Ave, Bristol, CT You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear directions on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of receptionist or customer service experience
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a primary care setting
  • Experience working with EPIC

Responsibilities

  • Conduct check-in and check-out process
  • Answer incoming calls and use EHR to document details of patient inquiries
  • Conduct outreach to patients requiring appointments or service follow-up
  • Schedule appointments using standard scheduling protocols
  • Manage administrative in-basket pools and work queues
  • Scan documents into the EHR per standard protocols
  • Balance payments and prepare deposits
  • Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal and financial information
  • Provide coverage at other ProHealth locations on an ad hoc basis
  • Perform other duties as assigned
