Requirements

MD or DO from accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine.
Board certification or board eligibility in General Surgery.
Current and unrestricted New York State license.
DEA required.
Bi-lingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) required.

Responsibilities

Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and chronic diseases and conditions, perform bread and butter general surgery / breast cases.
Prescribing or administering medications, therapy, and other surgical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
No Emergency department calls required. Only emergencies for patients within the Rendr network.
Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
Monitoring patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluating treatments, as necessary.
Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results.
Providing compassionate and empathetic surgical care and advice to patients regarding their health concerns.
Preparing official health documents or records, when necessary.
Participating in network activities such as Provider meetings, Grand Rounds, and training sessions.
Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain privileges at least two NYC hospitals.
Other related duties as assigned.
