Requirements

  • MD or DO from accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in General Surgery.
  • Current and unrestricted New York State license.
  • DEA required.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) required.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience preferred but all welcome

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and chronic diseases and conditions, perform bread and butter general surgery / breast cases.
  • Prescribing or administering medications, therapy, and other surgical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
  • No Emergency department calls required. Only emergencies for patients within the Rendr network.
  • Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
  • Monitoring patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluating treatments, as necessary.
  • Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results.
  • Providing compassionate and empathetic surgical care and advice to patients regarding their health concerns.
  • Preparing official health documents or records, when necessary.
  • Participating in network activities such as Provider meetings, Grand Rounds, and training sessions.
  • Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain privileges at least two NYC hospitals.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
