About The Position

TRIA is looking to hire a Medical Receptionist to join our orthopedic team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. Position Summary: The primary responsibilities for employees providing support within a department are to greet patients, collect co-pays, schedule follow-up appointments and referrals and support departmental clerical duties. This is a full time position at GameFace frontline working with both the physical therapy side of the clinic and the sports performance side of the clinic. This person will learn how to use EPIC as well as the MindBody system (which is what sports performance goes through) The candidate doesn't need to be sports oriented by any means but those with interest in sports might find this appealing. This is a frontline position and the main priority is checking in & scheduling - with the addition of rehab assistant duties on the sports performance side of the clinic. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:45am-3:15pm is the primary shift. There may be need to adjust or switch shifts with other employees on occasion.

Requirements

  • Accurate computer/keyboarding skills required.
  • Must be proficient in the operation of the following types of equipment: telephone and headsets, PC, printer, photo copier and fax machine.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
  • Ability to promote and maintain good patient relations and patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and structured environment.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to key for long periods of time

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months related experience
  • Some medical background preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Human relations sensitivity and customer service skills
  • Listening and telephone etiquette skills
  • Medical terminology knowledge desirable
  • Comfort in asking patients for copays and race collection.
