The position is responsible for day-to-day administrative and general office duties including word processing, filing, faxing, and data entry. The individual will greet visitors in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner. The role involves welcoming patients, determining the purpose of their visit, and directing them appropriately. The receptionist will facilitate patient flow and communicate any delays with patients and clinical staff. Additionally, the receptionist must follow all clinic policies on safety and security, maintaining restricted areas by safeguarding keyless entry codes and computer system passwords in strict confidentiality. The role also includes screening solicitors for relevance to organizational needs, explaining financial requirements to patients or responsible parties, and collecting copays as required. The receptionist is responsible for keeping the reception and patient waiting areas, as well as office files, clean and organized. The ability to cover other AOC locations may be required, and the receptionist will perform other duties as assigned.
