About the position

The Medical Front Desk Receptionist at Health Management Company of America (HMCA) serves as the first point of contact for patients at a high-volume Diagnostic Imaging Center in Staten Island, New York. This role is crucial for creating a positive first impression and requires professionalism, patience, and understanding. The receptionist will handle various administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients upon arrival at the diagnostic imaging center.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Verify insurance information and handle patient demographic data accurately.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the front desk operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff regarding appointments and procedures.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Front Desk Receptionist, preferably in a medical office or imaging service industry.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows products and medical systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
  • Strong multi-tasking, planning, organization, and execution skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Radiology experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
