About The Position

Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood, MI is seeking a MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST to join our PHYSICAL THERAPY team! This position is Full Time; 1.0 FTE or 80 hours per pay period. The role involves greeting, registering, and assisting patients professionally while maintaining confidentiality. The Medical Receptionist will efficiently schedule patient appointments according to established parameters as defined by office policy and procedure, obtain and maintain complete and accurate registration records, and courteously answer all phone calls, providing routine information to callers and transferring calls to the appropriate individual.

Requirements

• Knowledge of office procedures normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer experience and basic computer keyboarding skills required.
• One year of business office, customer service or healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology desirable.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high degree of professionalism.
