You're not just answering phones – you're our revenue protection specialist and patient financial counselor. Your precision with insurance verification directly impacts both patient experience AND our clinic's financial health. We're specifically looking for someone who excels at resolving insurance and billing challenges while maintaining high patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Meticulously verify coverage BEFORE services are provided, prevent claim denials, and maximize revenue capture
• Confidently explain costs, billing processes, and insurance complexities to patients in a way they understand
• Proactively identify and resolve insurance discrepancies and billing issues before they impact revenue
• Deliver exceptional service even during difficult financial conversations - keeping patients happy while handling payment matters
• Greet patients with warmth and professionalism
• Process payments, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins efficiently
• Maintain organized records while strictly following HIPAA regulations

Requirements

• Experience with insurance verification and medical billing
• Ability to explain complex insurance concepts to frustrated patients with empathy and clarity
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
• Experience as a Medical Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, or in any Customer Service role in a medical office setting
• Tech-savvy with medical billing software and EMR systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Positive attitude when dealing with challenging financial conversations

Nice-to-haves
