Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-year professional experience as a Medical Receptionist in a front-office direct patient care contact role.
  • Experience in a fast-paced/high-volume environment.
  • Experience with MS Outlook and basic computer knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and be cross-trained in other roles based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HEDIS.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
  • Previous experience in a geriatric setting.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Responsibilities

  • Operate a switchboard or multi-line phone and maintain long distance call logs.
  • Take and distribute accurate messages.
  • Greet visitors and determine the nature of their visit, issuing visitor passes and maintaining visitor logs.
  • Alert appropriate parties of visitor arrivals or direct visitors to the appropriate office, department, or employee.
  • Respond to routine inquiries from internal or external sources regarding the organization's location, hours of operation, phone numbers, and email addresses.
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative activities such as booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing and distributing mail, and receiving and sending courier packages.
