About The Position

The Medical Receptionist/Call Center Representative at Chesapeake ENT is a hybrid role that involves both front desk responsibilities and call center duties. This position is essential for ensuring smooth patient interactions and efficient scheduling, contributing to the overall patient experience in the Owings Mills office.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Preferred 1-year medical front desk/receptionist experience and call center experience.
  • Basic office skills such as typing and filing.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with the public and assist ill, older, or distraught patients.

Responsibilities

  • Register, check in, and check out patients.
  • Schedule appointments and collect copays and patient balances.
  • Assist patients with insurance documents and billing questions.
  • Ensure that patients have completed all necessary paperwork.
  • Scan and enter referrals and assist with pulling charts and filing paperwork.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly reception area.
  • Check and return all messages in a timely manner in the call center.
  • Call patients affected by a schedule change to move their appointments.
